Muxponders combine multiple client services into a single high-capacity wavelength, helping network operators increase fibre utilization and reduce the number of wavelengths required across DWDM and OTN networks.
Lynx provides muxponder platforms for data centre interconnect, metro, regional and long-haul applications, with solutions supporting 100G, 200G, 400G and 800G wavelengths. Client services can include Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OTN depending on the selected platform.
Higher-capacity platforms can aggregate 100GbE, 400GbE and 800GbE services, with integrated capabilities such as coherent DWDM optics, mux/demux, EDFA amplification, optical switching, performance monitoring and Layer 1 encryption available on selected configurations.

The PL-8000M supports 100 GbE, 400 GbE and 800 GbE services over two 800 G wavelengths, delivering up to 1.6 T in one system. It can be configured with mux / demux, EDFA and optical switch functions, depending on the deployment, and provides full demarcation between the service and DWDM network. Flexible client options per slice include 8 × 100 GbE, 2 × 400 GbE or 1 × 800 GbE, with Layer 1 AES-256 encryption, performance monitoring, remote management and hot-swappable field-replaceable parts.
Can be set as four 100 GbE muxponders or four 400 GbE transponders. With the optional in-chassis mux / demux, EDFA and optical switch the unit lights four 400 G wavelengths and, with the chosen FEC, reaches up to about 4 000 km.
Combines 10 / 25 / 100 GbE, Fibre Channel and OTU traffic into two 200 G, 300 G or 400 G line ports. Dual CFP2-DCO optics with oFEC suit metro and long-haul spans. Optional amplifiers and an optical switch can be included for higher loss budgets.
