ROADM

A digital landscape with interconnected glowing lines and nodes, resembling a cybernetic network. A city skyline and sunset are visible in the background.
A futuristic circuit board with glowing orange lines connecting various components. The lines radiate from a central raised square, suggesting data flow or energy distribution. The scene has a high-tech, digital feel.
A person in a hard hat and safety vest examines a large blueprint at a construction site, with the sun shining in the background.
A cityscape at night with bright light trails from passing vehicles creating streaks of yellow, orange, and blue against the backdrop of illuminated skyscrapers.

ROADM

Lynx supplies and supports the PL-1000RO / GRO CDC-F Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexers (ROADMs) platform in 4-, 8-, and 32-degree versions. The solution brings colourless, directionless, contentionless add-drop to mesh, ring, linear, and edge topologies and accepts user-defined flex-grid spacing from 50 GHz to 150 GHz across the full C-band. By mixing traffic rates from 10 G to 1 .6 T on one fibre, operators can introduce new services or expand capacity without changing the underlying line system.

End-to-end wavelength setup, power balancing, and live performance data flow into Lynx LightWatch NMS, shortening turn-up times and helping teams keep operating costs under control.

ROADM Product Portfolio

PL-1000RO / GRO  CDC-F ROADM (4 / 8 / 32 degree)

PL-1000RO / GRO  CDC-F ROADM (4 / 8 / 32 degree)

Routes and adds or drops up to 96 C-band wavelengths. The flex-grid WSS lets operators choose 50, 75, 100, or 150 GHz spacing, and the chassis can be supplied with embedded EDFAs when extra span loss must be covered. Automatic channel restoration, per-channel power equalisation, and OSC-based fibre monitoring are handled in hardware. Dual hot-swappable AC or DC power supplies and a pluggable fan drawer keep maintenance straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which ROADM degrees are available?

The PL-1000RO/GRO comes in 4-, 8-, and 32-degree versions.

It is a CDC-F ROADM, so add-drop is colourless, directionless and contentionless.

The system handles up to 96 C-band wavelengths.

User-selectable Flex-Grid spacings of 50 GHz, 75 GHz, 100 GHz or 150 GHz are available across the full 4.8 THz C-band.

Operators can mix 10 G, 100 G, 200 G, 400 G, 800 G and 1.6 T channels on one fibre.
End-to-end wavelength provisioning, power balancing and real-time monitoring run through Lynx LightWatch NMS.

Yes. It offers dual hot-swappable AC or DC power supplies and a pluggable fan drawer.

Optional embedded EDFAs can be added to increase reach without needing extra equipment.
